This was taken the 21/8/06Jill has updated me with some info on the apricot kernals. Apparently they will be here on moday via expresspost. They are supposedly very high in Vitamin B17 (i am pretty sure that is it) and they are the inside of the apricot pip. It is a soft inner part of the seed and can be eaten as is. It is very good if used correctly.
Jill also has some type of Silver water (not sure on this yet) but it is a type of essential mineral which helps with something.
Nate was a little bit more alert today, or well he seemed so when he sat up and said "The boxes in the trees have to get down!" and scared the life out of Mandy, Jill and I. I think it was the morphine talking, and the nurse had me checking to make sure Nate was taking his dose when he needed it.
When the Dr came for a chat he was able to find a little bit of good news. Its not set in stone, but she was able to give him a "maybe" date of when he might be able to leave the hospital and go and stay at home. They just want to get him over the infection before anything else.
He was a little warm today (I dont think the air-con is the best anyway) and was breaking out in small sweats. Apparently this is good news too as it means the infection is coming down. He alsomoved to lie on his side for a while to give his back a bit of a break. There is a little bit of sweeling around his back area, but that is just a natural response from the body, due to the infection and the small surgery.
Jill will be spending the night with Nate and hopefully they can both share a cuddle and get a good nights sleep.
