Why he is back in hospital.

Last night (3/10/07) Nate was taken to hospital. He had to have surgery to drain the infection from the abcess on the liver.

The Dr's at first thought that he had an internal bleed as the tumor had ruptured, but that was not the case. It was infected and was very large. It may be as large as 20cm, but that could be due to the infection and not be the actual size of the tumor.

Nate was in surgery for about 2hrs, during that time they have taken a biopsy of the tumor for analysis. The reports wont be known until further notice, but we will inform you as soon as we know.

During the day Nate has been awake and talking to the few visitors he has had. As he has requested, not many people have visited.

Tomorrow he will apparently be able to drink more and help himself get better. Right now they want to get him healthy until the Dr's talk to him about his results.

It was also Jill's birthday today. She turned 24 years old, and Nate bought for her a tennis raquet, and also had his re-strung so that when he is able, they can play together.

Nate has also been rather entertaining to the nurses, with his sense of humour readily available, even though he likes to hit his morphine regularly.

We wish him a good nights sleep.
