At 1.40pm (EST) Nathan slipped peacefully away to heaven. Jill and Jim were with him when he went. Jill was talking to him about going to a better place as he took his final breath. We miss him already but we are so grateful that he didn't suffer and that we had some wonderful time with him in the last few weeks, including a very memorable wedding and lots of laughs and love.
We thank you all for your support and love. It has made this difficult time more bearable.
We will be in contact with the funeral details in the next couple of days. It will be in Ruakaka.

Dear Jill,
You have been in our thoughts often over the last few weeks expecially. Now, sadly, it is time to farewell your dearest Husband and Best friend Nathan. What a courageous young man he has been. It has been wonderful being able to share with you through the website and I feel we have been privileged in getting to know Nathan just a little. He had a great sense of humour and an enormous amount of love for you.
How lucky you have been to have had Amanda by your side, looking after her big sister through such an emotional time for you both.
Through all the sad times there have also been some happy ones. Your Wedding Day, a beautiful day you will treasure forever.
To Nathan's Mum and Dad, we are thinking of you also and to the rest of your families.

Hi everyone. We were all so thankful to have had a great time with Nathan when we were in Australia in August, which is so much more meaningful now he has gone. He was so special to us as a family and such a great mate to Matthew. God is eternal with an eternal perspective, it's not always easy to see it His way but Nathan will be enjoying it now.
